The journey of the School of Economics started with a few determined faculty and a handful of B.Sc. students in the year 2017. Eventually, from 2021 the School has begun to offer an M.Sc. program with specializations is Financial Economics and Quantitative Economics. Today, school has seen successful graduation of 5 UG batches and 2 PG batches. The school now offers a PhD in Economics win the areas of Finance and International Economics.
School of Economics aims to provide students with broad-based knowledge, advanced technical, communication and entrepreneurship skills. The young, research-update faculty is focused on ensuring that the students obtain competency that make them ready for today’s highly competitive world. They get the opportunity to explore and apply their knowledge and skill in the industry by integrating in-depth research, conceptual development, strategic thinking and problem solving. Through carefully planned structure of learning, the students equip themselves with multi-disciplinary skills and practices.
The school aims to ensure that our students will be able to inculcate positive values and attitudes, stressing on ethics and professionalism, possess leadership quality and ethical teamwork spirit in the diverse cultures of the nation and across the globe. They will be provided with an educational experience that will motivate them to pursue lifelong learning.
Our students have been placed in various companies through campus drive. Our PG students have interned in/ are currently interning in NSE, FIMMDA, PwC, CBRE, MCX, NALCO, I-PAC, IIT – KHARAGPUR, AXIS BANK etc.
