Faculty Achievements

Prof. Golaka Nath (Dean, School of Economics) is selected by the Reserve Bank of India as a member of their Standing Committee of Analytics. This is an honorary position and the committee is entrusted with helping in making high level monetary policy and supervision decisions.

Prof. Paramita Mukherjee and Prof. Sayoree Gooptu were awarded funding by Indian Council of Social Science Research (Ministry of Education), Government of India in 2024, for the project titled “Tracing the Transition: A Longitudinal Study of Skilling and Labor Market Outcomes of Indian Youth in Orissa, Jharkhand, Telangana and West Bengal”, under collaborative research on Longitudinal Studies in Social and Human Sciences. (Team: Prof. Saibal Kar, Prof. Vivekananda Mukherjee, Dr. Shreya Biswas, Dr. Saheli Bose, Dr. Sayoree Gooptu). Grant amount INR 20000000.

Prof. Paramita Mukherjee received IIMA-MCX award for Excellence in Research on Gold for a paper presented in IGPC Annual Gold and Gold Markets Conference in February 2023, awarded by India Gold Policy Centre, a policy think tank @IIM Ahmedabad funded by World Gold Council. Awarded the first prize worth INR 150,000 on February 15, 2024

Prof. Biswaranjan Parida is awarded Patent for “Solar Kettle”, Journal no 46/2023, 17 Nov 2023, Application no 391084-001.
